Cisco | Changing usernames password on a Wireless Controller

It might happen you need to change the password of a user on the Cisco Wireless Controller. To change this password you need to access the wireless controller on 1 of the following ways.

  1. Telnet / SSH
  2. Console

Login to the Cisco Wireless Controller.

Go to the configuration mode. Using the command config.

To change the usernames password you need to know the name of the username. Use the command netuser.
To see what’s possible use the command netuser ?

Use the command netuser password for changing the password for the specific user.
Note the username can exists up to 49 alphanumeric characters and the password up to 24.

After this change you can check if the change worked via the web browser to see if you can login.
